About Diad Freight Logistics.
Diad
Freight Logistics was formed in 1977 by
John, Ian and Peter Richardson as a mainly rural based transport
operation transporting produce and livestock. The company grew rapidly
in the 80's and with deregulation of the New Zealand road transport
industry took full benefit of the opportunities that this created.
In
1998 the company disposed of its livestock cartage involvement to focus
wholly on the area of general freight. This move was extremely positive
and the company experienced major expansion with the securing of several
major contracts.
Further
company expansion was generated by the purchase of Hawera Transport in
late 2003. The acquisition of Carterton Transport in 2007 has widened
the company's activities and doubled it's capacity.
